All of the beds in our accommodation have mosquito nets, so there is no need to bring your
own unless you plan to stay elsewhere during your visit to Tanna.
Mosquitoes are not a big problem at Friendly Bungalows.
The prevailing south easterly wind, not only keeps the
bungalows cool, but also the mosquitoes away. However,
it is a good idea to bring some repellent and use it
when treking in the bush or visiting villages.
You will want to have a good camera because you'll have
lots of photo opportunities. Bring extra film or memory
chips. Getting fresh film here is often difficult.
An extra camera battery is also a good idea. If your
camera is rechargable, remember that the generator is
not on all day and you will need to plug in to recharge
when the generator is running.
